Mozilla Firefox the most popular web browser today. The most important problem people facing while using Mozilla Firefox is its High Memory Usage. Most people avoid using Mozilla firefoz because of the above reason. Here is a solution the problem mentioned above.
But actually this problem is not coming with the Firefox as we open it for first time I couldn’t notice this thing happen. But after some time later it’s going to eat more and more memory and also Firefox start up time increasing.

This can happen by many of our improper usage of Firefox. In here I mentioned few causes which you should consider about your Firefox browser.

Firefox extensions and themes:

Most common cause is Firefox extensions and themes, if you have installed lots of extensions and themes probably your browser very slow and show high memory usage.

Overall performance of your computer can be reducing.Check your Add-ons, Themes and remove all unnecessary extensions and themes.

Compare your extensions with Problematic extensions published by mozillazine and follow the recommendations there if any extension found.

Update all your extensions to newest versions, newest versions have lots of improvements and bug fixes for smooth usage.

Still your browser remaining the same status it’s proper to go through this tutorial and follow every this which I discussed here.

Check your extensions for high memory usage:

Let’s check the remaining extensions for memory usage. Even any of your extension not in the Problematic extensions it isn't guarantees that all your extensions are perfect.Open task manager and in “processes” tab check the memory usage of Firefox and write it down somewhere.

Exit from Firefox, Go to start and run type "Firefox -safe-mode" without double quotation marksCheck Disable all add-ons in opened window and click “continue with safe mood”Again in task manager check memory usage of Firefox and compare with previous result.

If there is high flow of memory usage there is an extension still want be removing.Again open Firefox in normal mood, go to "tools" "add-ons" and disable extensions one by one and compare the memory usage after disabling each and restarting the browser.

If you find huge memory reduction after disabling any particular extension that one should be removed if it's not providing a precious service.

Firefox Plug-ins:

Firefox plug-ins also acts as a devil in sometime, so it is better to read plug-ins section of mozillazine which has all the information and trouble shootings for latest plug-ins.

It is recommended you to pay your attention about Quicktime, Java, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Flash as they use normally.

Clear your Cookies and Download History:Remaining cookies, history and download history is also impact to speed of Firefox.

Removing them every day after done all of work is can be cause for better performance.Go to "tools" "Options" "privacy" and check "Always clear my private data when I close firefox" under private data and in "settings" (right to check box) select all available options and click ok.

This will prompt you to delete your junk data every time you close your firefox browser.

about:config Settings:

Type "about:config" bar and check "browser.cache.memory.enable" is true or not if it is false double click on it and change the attribute to true.

Right click on anywhere of the window and go to New > "Boolean" and enter "config.trim_on_minimize" set attribute to true. This will automatically reduce the memory usage when your browser is minimized.

How To format a Computer ( Windows XP )

Most of us do not like formatting their computer because of the data stored in it and the hard work involved in setting it up again.
In this edition of the Tip of the Week, we would learn the advantages of formatting the computer and why should you do it soon.
This guide explains step-by-step how to format hard drive partition using the Windows XP installation CD.
Before you continue, make sure you have backup of all documents, files, pictures, favorites, bookmarks, everything you don't want to loose with the process of formatting.Right, then let's begin.
Step 1: Insert your Windows XP installation disc into your CD or DVD drive. Restart your computer.
Step 2: As your computer boots, a screen with message "Press any key to boot from CD..." will show, right there press any key to start the setup. If the message doesn't display (by default it should), then restart your computer again and right after the first boot screen enter the BIOS (usually it's "Delete" key or F2, check with your motherboard manual or search Google for your motherboard manual 'which key to enter BIOS'), and set up the boot sequence to CD/DVD before your HDD.
Step 3:After you enter the setup, the CD will load up a blue screen and will start loading operating system files (this make take few minutes). When it finishes, it will list a few options, “Press ENTER to set up Windows XP now” is the one we need. Click it.
Step 4:Second screen is “The windows usage agreement”. It should be displayed now, showing that you need to press F8 to accept the agreement. Press F8 to accept.
Step 5: If an existing Windows XP installation is detected by the system, you are prompted to repair it. We will bypass this step.
Step 6:At this point you need to select the partition where you prefer to install Windows Xp. This is where you will delete your partition and format drive C. The box in the lower half of the screen shows all your drives and the partitions that currently exist on your hard disk. Use the Up and Down Arrow keys to highlight/select your “C:” partition and press the “D” key (pic 6.1). On the next screen press the ‘L’ key (pic 6.2) to confirm that you want to delete partition “C:”, and finalize the deleting of the partition. (if you have only “Unpartitioned space” and you have no C: or D: partitions, skip this step).
Step 7:Now you should be back on the screen prompted to choose where to install Windows. The box on the lower half of the screen should no longer show a partition, instead of “C:” you should see “Unpartitioned space xxxxxMB”. Select/highlight this with the arrow keys and press the “C” key to create a partition on the drive (this is where you will install windows). Now setup tells you the minimum and maximum sizes the partition can use and lets you pick the size. The default size is the maximum available, leave the default value and press Enter.
Step 8:This screen lets you choose the file system you prefer the drive to be formatted with. Choose NTFS “Quick” (recommended because NTFS is faster and more secure). Use the arrow keys to select and hit Enter.
Step 9:Setup will start to and will auto-format the “C:” partition, and start with Windows XP installation. From here you are all set and the installation of Windows will proceed. This will take a while. The computer will reboot several times, and will continue with installation. Don’t remove the Windows XP setup CD, and don’t press a key when prompted (we already did that).
Depending of the speed of your computer, the installation will be over in 20 to 60 minutes, and you'll have a fresh installation of Windows XP on your computer.
